"Saya lagi di bagian paling ujung Inna Garuda. Lagi megangin kuda karena kudanya panik banyak orang. Pak Jokowi tahu-tahu naik (ke andong). Naik sama Bu Iriana. Terus ada ajudannya naik di sebelah saya. Sekitar jam delapan naik ke andong," ujar Surono, Kamis (27/9).
Surono menceritakan saat naik ke andong, Jokowi memintanya untuk mengantarkan sampai ke Istana Negara atau dikenal pula dengan nama Gedung Agung. Surono mengaku tak dicek oleh Paspampres sebelum Jokowi naik ke andongnya.
"Gak dicek kok. Kan tadi Pak Jokowi tahu-tahu naik ke andong," tutur Surono.
Surono menerangkan selama perjalanan, dirinya tak berani mengajak Jokowi berbicara. Surono mengaku grogi karena selama delapan tahun menjadi kusir, andongnya belum pernah dinaiki oleh pejabat seperti Presiden.
"Baru pertama kali ini ada pejabat naik ke andong saya. Apalagi ini yang naik Presiden. Saya grogi tadi. Sampai keluar keringat dingin," ungkap Surono.
Surono menuturkan selama mengemudi, andong dilajukannya dengan pelan. Sebab sepanjang perjalanan, Jokowi berulang kali melayani permintaan warga untuk berfoto bersama.
"Saya jalannya pelan karena sering berhenti diajak foto. Jalan 10 meter terus berhenti karena diajak foto. Ada sekitar 10 kali berhenti agak lama. Paling lama berhenti di dekat Dinas Pariwisata," cerita Surono.
Surono menambahkan usai mengantarkan Jokowi ke Gedung Agung, dirinya langsung mendapatkan bayaran. Meskipun demikian Surono mengaku belum tahu berapa uang yang didapatkannya.
"Dikasih uang sama staffnya Pak Jokowi. Belum saya buka (amplopnya). Belum tahu isinya berapa. Besok mau buat beli baju anak saya," tutup Surono. [ded]
